Tote Bets Explained

We've got a variety of bets to suit every preference:

Single Leg Bets

Win: Pick a horse who has to win for you to get a return.

Place: Select a horse to finish in the first two or three or four, depending on the number of runners. [1-4 Win Only, 5-8 First and Second, 8-15 First, Second, Third, 16+ First, Second, Third, Fourth (Handicaps Only)]

Each Way: Get double the action with a Win and a Place bet on the same horse. [One stake goes on the horse to win and a second stake goes on the horse to place.]

Exacta: Choose the 1st and 2nd in the correct order. Or go for a reverse Exacta, [where you place two stakes for two possible outcomes.] Your selections can then finish first or second in any order for you to win.

Trifecta: Predict the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the right order. Alternatively, try a combination Trifecta, where your selections can finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in any order.

Swinger: Pick two horses and have three chances to win. 1st and 2nd, 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd.
